Restorations & Listed Buildings Works

At LCS, we are passionate about the history and heritage and we work hard every day to see it preserved.

We know that the world needs to move forward, so our constant challenge is to marry the old with the new. We always retain respect for history but make sure it can function within the modern world.

We will always repair, restore and build in the original style and often create something unique and truly special that has one foot in the past and one foot in the present.

This practical/preservation balance is at the core of everything we do.

Given that the restoration of heritage buildings is a delicate task, we combine comprehensive building and construction knowledge with the latest in curative techniques to ensure the building is restored in its full glory whilst attending to the heritage intricacies and listing requirements.

The restoration and remedial works on a listed building can include façade and concrete repair, repointing and stonemasonry works, to waterproofing, carpentry works and window and door replacement.

With a thorough knowledge of traditional stonemasonry methods required to bring beautiful buildings back to life, our passion lies in keeping the craft alive to preserve the architectural heritage for generations to come.

We’re rightly proud of the high standards of workmanship within our team and we’ll give you the right advice and the right price.

Just like this listed building in London which needed several work done. The overall state was pretty bad with vegetation on most walls, even little trees, fragments falling off the coping stones, a lot of masonry and stonework fractures, some of the bricks were replaced with ones having different colour or design, there was some repointing done before but wrong materials have been used so the pointing became purple and fractured within few years. Also there were several large fractures on the walls and other structural elements needing immediate attention. We also had to waterproof and render some of the areas where water ingress was a constant issue.
